Dad spends 12 yrs building and perfecting his Enzo Ferrari (Photos)

Guaranteed, you’ve never seen anything as insane as the project Canadian Ryan McQueen spent 12 years and $90,000 perfecting – a gorgeous fire red replica Enzo Ferrari equipped with twin aircraft engines!
McQueen felt inspired to build the custom supercar after visiting Edmonton to see jet cars race. He even sacrificed his own Chevrolet Corvette to raise the money to buy two jet engines at auction.

McQueen doesn’t lay claim to any engineering wizardry; as a matter of fact, he didn’t even know how to use a welder when he started on the project.

One side done!!!!

It took years, a lot of money, and a really big dream, but McQueen finally completed the monster he calls “Madness.” Madness weighs in at just shy of 4,000 pounds and can accelerate to a mind-bending 400 miles an hour, burning an incredible 105 gallons of aviation fuel in just two minutes!
He even added a very special catch phrase: "Yay DAD!!!!"

Ryler's "catch phrase". When Brinley starts taking, hers will go on the other side:)

The original Enzo Ferrari was built in 2002 as a 12 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta sports car with Formula One technology, such as carbon fiber body, electro-hydraulic shift transmission and carbon fiber reinforced silicon carbide ceramic disc brakes. The Enzo boasts 650 horsepower, and weighs in at a sporty 3,000 pounds. This peppy Ferrari can go from 0-60 in 3.14 seconds, and 0-100 in 6.6 seconds. It can reach a top speed of about 220 mph. The average lap time at the Silverstone Stowe Circuit? An impressive 58.31 seconds with 1.2g lateral acceleration.

According to Ferrari's website, the Enzo had a price tag of $650,000 for each of the 349 of the original first run, making it the most expensive Ferrari ever at the time of its 2002 release.
